  • A New Work bench :-)

I built a new work bench out of some Steel Case office furniture desk tops that were being disposed of at work. They dumped about 25 of them so grabbed 3 and this is what they ended up being used for. I think I'm a border line hoarder.
The top is 1 inch thick HDF board with a reasonably tough material applied to both faces. This arrangement is much nicer then the bench I was using.

That board makes for a superb reloading table top too!

LOL, I did say "border line" If I had a place to store them I would have taken them all. The balance of them sat in a stack in the back parking lot for 5 days, got rained on so they are now very close to TOAST.

            Hi Rob,
not an enterprenuer either, eh? Shoulda trailered them home, parked the trailer in your driveway, tarped them down to keep the rain off and sold them on e-bay.

Don't know about you, but where I work I am welcome to take things the company is done with, but selling it would get me fired.

                  Hi Hmar,
                  typical two-faced management
We can let it rot into uselessness and spend money to get it hauled away or we will let you have it at no cost but we'll fire you for making a dollar on it.

Good plan but the cost to ship 72" by 30" table tops that likely weight about 50 pounds each would make selling them on any venue that's not "come and get it" very difficult.
I also don't own a trailer and have no room for storing stuff like that. I'm content to have to hand picked best of them for my beach :-)
