  • Just wiped out.

Not on the 11. Iwas on my little kz440. Was leaving work, and when I turned out of the parking lot, I guess I gave it just a little too much throttle. That combined with a little gravel in the road equals bike down. Lucky for me, the only damage to me was because I did'nt get my right hand out of the way quick enough and sufferred a little road rash on my middle finger and wrist. Unfortunately the bike was'nt so lucky. Just from the ride home I noticed the right side controls are messed up, and the rear brake lever and clutch cover got a little mangled. I can hear the cluth hit the dent in the clutch cover every time I pull it. So, it looks I'll be going to rebuild over the next couple of months.

Hmm.....................................Wonder if I can find oversized pistons for a 1980 kz440 ltd any where.

Glad you walked away, man! Bikes are easier (and less expensive) to fix than people are!

This is true. That little bike is so light that it gets a little squirrelly pretty easy. I am much more comfortable on the xs. but the little one is pretty fun too, just gotta be more careful I guess. It kind of hurts when your finger gets stuck between the front brake lever and the handle bar.
