Now you guys know what we feel like in Ca on a semi regular basis. Of course we're a little used to it, and try to build for it, but every time we get cocky about it mother nature shows us just how little we really are .

I am here in Baltimore, and I missed it completely. I was working at a customer site, and left for lunch somewhere around a quarter 'til. I got in the car and went driving bout looking for something to eat. I found out about it when it was on a tv in a burger king in Sparrows point. thinking back, I did hear a strange noise as I was leaving the plant, but there was a running semi parked about 30 feet away, and I was very close to railroad tracks and I was at a steel mill, so I didn't think anything of it, I just thought the semi had a rod knocking or something. when I saw it on the news, I said out loud "we had an earthquake? where the hell was I?". have a nice day and ride safe

Felt it pretty strongly down here in the Tidewater area some ~200 miles from DC. The folks/geologists on TV state that the ground is much harder out here, and so the vibrations travel farther thru the denser bed rock. Was working in my patient exam room with a patient, we both had lived in Japan(military), as well as California, so we knew almost immediately what it was....wasn't worried about it, knew we didn't have the type or severity of quakes they have in CA. The room shook for some 20-30 seconds, but then it was over, kept right on working.

Some morons here in Milwaukee got themselves on the news claiming they felt the earthquake.

I work in Dulles VA. And I'm on the 3rd floor of my building, And At first I thought someone was moving something heavy, rumbling the floor,

But got stronger, and then moving side to side !! Lasted about 15 seconds or so. Was so strange to feel the building sway so.

Co-worker of mine she was scared to death, Mentioned maybe taking one of her Zanex and laying her head on the desk for a while........Good ol Gubment here shut down everything, So driving home was a MESS
