Came across this guy at the auto parts store...

Very sharp looking bike, reeks of HP and screams go-fast to me. Never really knew about them untill it looked it up and found this...

Yep, I rode one at Triumph test ride day. There was no waiting to ride it, probably because it's so f'n huge. Don't even need to downshift it has so much torque. Going around corners is somewhat interesting. The gas tank is about 2' wide.

These bikes are the reason I started riding... one day! They make my pants feel funny
There are only two types of bikers...
those that have layed it down, and
those that have not layed it down...YET!

On mid-tour from Iraq I visited the Triuph shop in Daytona and showed my wife the Rocket III Roadster and let her know I wanted it. She kne wI wanted one, but never saw it. Her response was "That's a full size radiator and oil filter!!!" My reply was "Babe...it's a 2.3 liter engine, kinda like in your old Honda! ha ha ha That bike is sick!

Wow didn't know it could wheely

Hey Mo: That was a cool video. I have a buddy that owns one, didn't know it could wheely. Will have to let him know. It sounds like thunder & usually keeps everyone guessing 'what is that thing" when we pull on somewhere. It is definatley 'the momma". Oh he also gets great gas mileage in the high 50's I think - way better than mine & I get 44 mph - Dan

To ride this bike you need some big cajon'es. This is not a bike for the weak of heart...You had better know wtf you are doing when you climb aboard this beast...

                    trumpet

                    Hi Guys,

There was a local guy had one for sale, with a rebuilt title, I got him down to five k for it, but that video is rather deceiving. There is a contingent in the UK that modifies that bike, guys have put nitrous and turbos on them. Methinks thats where the wheelstands come from. I rode the one here, it was mild mannered as a pussycat. Of course, I am six foot six and three hundred so my size could have tamed it a bit. I would have sold my m109 and bought that for half as much, but the bike sold before I could sell my m109. By the way, the trumpet has astonishing torque, right from the very bottom, Ive never tapped the throttle, BARELY , on any bike before and had its front suspension top out, but that one did it, so who knows, maybe it would wheelie stock like that. It never will with me on it though. In any case, that bike is a bit shorter than the m109, and a fair bit lighter with about twenty five percent more horsepower. In any case, the m109 is very very powerful, you cant want more than that thing has got, but the trumpet has it, hands down. If I were a foolish guy looking to throw a bunch of dough away, the new v max would be my bike. I think youll find that the vmax is lighter than that, and stone stock drastically more powerful if you can imagine that. In case anyone is thinking about the rocket three, they make a kit that a dealer can install for a thou in labor, that corrects all the niggling faults of the earlier models. I dont know what the parts cost, they may actually be free from triumph. The thou for labor kind of made me think twice since I wouldnt want to tackle it. Give me an xs11, hahaa. I still have the M109, but I love my mns and seventy nine special.
