  • Ooops I did it again

Well guys and gals I have bought another one of these marvelous machines. Now I have a 80SG complete with bags fairing and trunk. The PO says it has a big bore kit in it that he could not get to run right. 406 km's on it which is like less than 300 miles. He says if he could get it to idle it would not run right at high rpm and if it ran right at high rpm then it would idle high. He did not have the vacuum advance connected at all. Hmmm maybe a sign. Anyways I will show you my 300 dollar purchase in all its glory...(not) as soon as I upload a pic or two. Ride safe guys.

She is a dirty old girl and I wonder why he would put a big bore kit in without worrying about simple things like the fork seals, but he said if it would not run right then why spend good money after bad. The fun thing is I know the mechanic who installed the kit so i know it is in there. Now to figure out how to jet for it!

Wow! That's a score for $300. I little TLC and you've got it. I like the touring seat.

I think most of use would have taken advantage of a deal like that.
What are your plans keep it or flip it?

This one makes 8 that I own so I think it may stick around like the rest have, depends on what I have for luck with it running. Of the 8 I have not all are runners and a couple will never be on the road again, but I keep em around. I have enough spare parts to make em all runners but I think one of each year and an XJ will do.

Dont you mean 'one of each model'. some years had more than one model.
