Not bad. Interesting that it has the special round headlight instead of the correct rectangular one. Also, did you notice the $250 "documentation fee" (non refundable of course!) in the fine print?

If it makes U feel any better, I paid $5300 for my Venturer new, immediately added the accessory tail trunk, and yammy accessory tour seat bringing it to $5600 at that time. Sold it 10yrs. later...........bought it back 14yrs. later for $100 and put another $900 to bring it back to what it was when I sold it..........there, you can now step away from the pills/rope, etc.

The auction isn't over yet.
They are out there for half that if you look long enough. I picked up 2 in one day for $500 each a few years ago. It may kill you to know the one I ride now was $100.

There are some folks who have had their 1100s given to them, some bought them for $50, I picked up my current one for $250. But I also put a substantial amount of time and money into getting back in riding condition. And I doubt that one sells for that price IMHO, not this late in the season.

The first one I got cost $750 and had a bent valve, but it ran on 3 cylinders. I bent 2 more valves before I learned how to reassemble the head correctly. The next 2 were traded for ice fishing equipment and $200. One was a parts bike with a seized motor and a damaged frame, but I wanted the 79F that came with it. These bikes will drive you nuts quickly enough working on them, so don't worry about a few shekels.

Hey, not ALL of these are good buys! The bike I bought from Planedick has NEVER run correctly FOR ME. This is NOT to say I don't think I got a bad deal! I needed a bike, he had one, so I got it. I did put on about 20K miles, so it WILL run. It's just "crotchity" in it's old age.
The bike you now have is a KNOWN entity. No matter what the needs are, you probably know most of them by now. ANY new bike brings in a new, unknown quantity into the equation. Look for the local "deals", as that is where the happiness of ownership is!

OK so the B.S. is QUITE DEEP, but you realy needto remember you DO have one bike, and under 1K for a 1+ litre bike is a good price! At least it's not a SPORTSTER!

ipayed 900 for one the other day ,,it not bad price ,,the ones around my area are going for 1500 to 3500 for some reason.it harder to find cheaper one,,and ithink that bike is been worked over ,,there alot of different thing been changes ,
