  • Met that on line person

Over the years you talk to other riders on line and you always say lets get together..yeah right man,we will do it..how often does that happen?
Well a couple of weeks ago a buddy from FL on his way to Chicago to find the beginning of RT66 and and follow it the best he could to end up in San Jose to see his parents stayed in Florence KY so I went to see him as we became internet friends years ago..this was our first face to face meeting.
He rides a Harley, nice bike with a varied background..

After riding all day he has got to be the happiest guy I know.Hand shaking and a manly hug we went our ways...something about riders that we just seem to feel a common bond.

Just a few pics so far.....

You can get an idea of what a person is about by reading a few posts. Most of the folks that take the time to help and answer questions on a forum are usually similar in person. I had the pleasure of meeting g15usmc, a member of this fine forum, at the Born Free rally. We had a good time (at least I did!) swapping motorsickle stories and telling outrageous lies. Yer spot on about riders having plenty to talk about.

Looks like yer friend does a fair bit of riding on his Hawg. That has the frame mounted fairing, right?

I don't know much about Nick's bike as we went to dinner shortly after we met,he was still in the motel office checking in and I arrived. He needed a shower and all that so we said good bye but had good conversation at dinner and he would not let me buy.I have met probably 2 dozen on line riders, several 11 owners,a couple of Harley riders and a slew of Suzuki riders.
All good fun...but the one Harley rider wanted a hack saw to cut of my mufflers to see if I was running That alone is about worth more than the whole bike being stock.
