  • $120 1978e

I found on govermentdeals.com, a 1978 up at auction in ca. The last bid was $120 with $10 increments. It has the red factory paint, but is missing the mufflers. Oh, the auction will close Aug 3rd.

Went to look at it, found that it's http://www.govdeals.com rather than govermentdeals.com. But google found it for me. The poor thing does look rather sad though. I sure wish I had the funds to go for it and then go down there and get it. But maybe one of the guys down south will be able to grab it.

It is exactly the kind of project bike I've been looking for unfortunately, just a bit too far away and just right at the wrong time of the month (the beginning of the month is the part I don't have much money during ).

Looks that way from the left side, it has a Kerker 4-1. That's worth $130 alone.

That bike is one rusty sucker, must've been down by the ocean.

Looks to have been sitting for quite a while but all the pieces are there.

The tags are less than six months out of date! It probably would run with just the "normal" effort. If I didn't have too many already.........

                Steve,
you forgot about the drive down and back with a trailer to get it! My car is being used by my daughter, and Penny is out of town, with her car parked up in SF at the airport!
But the main reason is I have NO MORE ROOM! I'm trying to sell the two '79's, just so I have room to work on the '78!

It's up to $160 now. I wish I had the money to go after it right now, and more importantly a way to go get it if I did.
