  • Salvage yards for newer bikes?

As you know, I tossed my '97 Suzuki Bandit 1200 to the ground, last month in NC. Now that the insurance Co has finally settled up, I need some parts. Not going to list everthing I need but if you know a good salvage yard.

Been looking on eBay for a month and havent found right color/condition/parts yet.

I am afraid that I will pay out the mega$$$ for a tank or fairing piece and then when I get it find out it has dents and scatches in it. My other choice is to go new from Ron Ayers.

    Thanks
    Gary Granger

Thanks Bruce! I have a lead on a blue 97 from a seller on ebay, he said I have to call and let them know exacly what I want and then they will check condition for me. Basically I am looking for a 1997 Suzuki Bandit 1200 (GSF1200S) Dusk Blue (color code YON) fuel tank and left side fairing. I have fixed a few of the problems I had with the instrument cluster but right now the speedometer and speedo cover need to be replaced. (I am going to try and epoxy the shell of the speedo back together tonight, it works but the plastic body is very smashed and the cover will not even fit over it.) I would buy the whole instrument cluster if the price was right (thinking about $150 USD). Stuff needs to be in Excellent shape, no dents or scratches, a little normal wear is OK.
