Hello everyone, long time reader, first time poster..lol. I have been working on my 1979 XS11 Special for a few weeks and couldn't get it lined out. So in a fit of disgust, too many projects at once, and all the rain here in MO lately, I put it up for sale, a day or 2 later I changed my mind and decided to keep it. After getting fed up of focusing on the mechanical I decided to take a break and start pulling the fairing, racks and seat. I am starting to like it a little more now...lol. Anyways just wanted to say a long hello and thanks everybody who has posted on the site for hours of endless reading, help and ideas.

Hey! Welcome aboard! You're about an hour and a half from me, so if you need a hand, let me know. Would make for a nice Saturday ride.
Just stick with it, and soon you will not be able to let go of it. Any reason why you are trying to unload the fairing? You may find that it's more comfortable with it on there.1980 XS850SG - Sold

Thanks for the Welcomes..=) cowboybob998 I am about halfway in between St. Louis and Jefferson City. CatatonicBug I appreciate the offer, and you have a great website. As far as the windshield goes I just don't care for them, it makes me feel like I'm riding in a car.

It's funny - for me, riding without a windshield makes me feel like a human parachute, and I feel like I'm going to be forced to let go of the grips at any moment! I just can't relax that way.1980 XS850SG - Sold
