I love the standards. yours looks pretty sweet. like the color and stripes. What did you use to fill were the emblems go ? . And whats the front fender from?

I'm not sure the tank is filled. His front fender is aftermarket XS650 from Mike's XS.

Yes the fender is from mikes... and the tank was almost empty at this point...
Oh you meant the sides of the tank

Its filled in with a lot if brown bondo and alot of sanding.... alot...

That's a clean lookin' machine ya got. I'm diggin' the racing stripe and the colors. Wouldn't mind having a Standard in the garage next to the Special, especially if it looked that good.

Beautiful bike. That's a fantastic color. The Yamaha symbol is a nice touch. Can't tell from the pics...is it painted, decal, or badge?

Also, I'm curious about the zrx1200r carbs. What's the advantage to using those as opposed to stock carbs?

Sorry the fairing is beinv painted to match the bike. It was black.the fairing... bikes always been blue. The emblems came from ebay. They are kidof a gel coated sticker.... sort of. The carbs are way better than stock performance wise. They have plastic slides instead of metal. There are alot of posts abiut the. I also have a chinscoop waiting to be painted as well.

Oh the blue and silver was supposed to match my agv stealth shadow helmet... but they didn't do a good job mixing it at the paint store. My friend who painted it and I spent along time matching it. Oh well

Nice color! Where did you obtain your chin scoop from? How much did it cost? If you can, put just the chin scoop on and take a picture for me. Im highly interested in what it would look like with it!

Damn nice machine! And the view isn't bad either. The blue with the silver racing stripe is tremendous, kudos to you and your friend. My tank emblems are both busted in half and chipped, but seeing your tank with the smoothed sides, makes me want to do that instead. Very clean look. Congrats on a beautiful bike!

FWIW, FJR badges are a nice fit on a standard tank. Emblem part number 5JW-2413B-00-00. It's a stick on.

Mime are about like that 3 bucks if I remember correctly. The scoop is from airtech. It doesn't fit good with ther kerker. There is an older photo somewhere on here alabama al has it also...
