OK, assume he's dead and that snuff photos will eventually show up, what then?

Yeah, they have NOT released the "official" photo as of yet. They DID take photo's so they could scan and compare to verify the body. The US has yet to put them out, and the BBC got "bit" by one photo that someone did a very poor job on with photoshop....

Fred, I think you are dead on. Let's see. We got him, but we don't have a body, we buried him at sea. We got DNA, but it gets court cases overturned all the time. We have pictures, but 5 year olds can use Photoshop. We have video, but you can't see it because a Seal's identity might be compromised. If you follow that line of reasoning I caught the worlds record Largemouth bass, but I ate it. The proof is the grease in my frying pan.

Think about this for a minute though, What would Obama stand to gain by crowing about if it wasn't true, knowing full well that there's likely to be an Al Qaeda/Teleban back lash that may well be as bad as the original event. Wouldn't be a smart move in my book.

Not to mention the sh*tstorm that would develop if Bin Laden suddenly popped up somewhere large as life.

I don't think theres any question that they got him. The real question is why did they kill an unarmed man instead of capturing him. Given the US's propensity for funding ratbags round the world when it suits their aims, maybe he knew too much and could have be seriously embarrassing to the govt should he be allowed to talk.

Faking it, only to be later found out, would be political suicide in my view.
