  • Last ride of the year!

This season has allowed me 3 days with a few hours in which to ride. Yesterday I took the Timemachine out for about 50 miles when the weather turned nasty again with more of the same through Sunday. Monday morning I am having my back surgery. I have written about that all ready. We found out March 15th that I have Prostrate cancer. My back operation was originally scheduled April 1st. We are now moving ahead. While I am in the hospital, they will start me on hormone therapy. In 6 months I will begin radiation treatments. Now I am not writing to wine for your sympathy. I intend to be online a lot while I mend. If I get a little strange, bare with me.: It will only be temporary a year I understand.
This has been on my mind.

    Any way, Wish me luck!

I can look back at some of the post I made while in my initial recovery phase form my wreck last year, and I assure you, There will be no room for me to say a thing about wierd post!!

It will be good to see you posting and knowing your on the path to recovery. Sorry mother nature tossed you a really big pi$$ing on your parade, quite literally as far as riding goes. But, it will be that much sweeter when you get back on and ride again!!

Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. However, there's no better time than the present to have to deal with stuff like that. Medical advances have made treatments a lot better nowadays. Keep us posted, and you'll be in my prayers.

                          Been Waiting

Hi Deny, been waiting to hear from you since April 1 with regard to the back surgery. Sorry to hear it got put off, at least it gave you an opportunity to clock a few miles. I wouldn't hang up the keys just yet though. You'll be surprised at how quickly your going to bounce back from the surgery. 10 days to let the stiches heal and you'll be able to get a kidney belt on. As far as the prostate goes, all men if we live long enough will develop prostate cancer. My Dad had it for 22 years and all they did with him was the hormone therapy. He died from a heart attack in his late 80's. Good luck man but just stay cool, you got nothing to worry about.
