    Zumo 550 on the XS1100

Here's a pic of old Technology with new. A GPS that's waterproof and made for Motorcycles. I had to custom make the holding bracket but it turned out OK.

Should work good for ya'. Just don't be lookin' down riding........happened to a fellow on the ST site during a group ride of all things. Lookin at the GPS on twisty rode and crossed yellow line glancing off a couple coming the other way on a HD. Like the key switch! Might want to square-up the tach housing.
81H Venturer1100 "The Bentley" (on steroids) 97 Yamaha YZ250(age reducer) 92 Honda ST1100 "Twisty"(touring rocket) Age is relative to the number of seconds counted 'airing' out an 85ft. table-top.

      Looks good, 'Hawk!

Like motoman said, watch the road not the GPS and good work on the key! Is it a drop-in or did you have to customize the switch?

        Hi Winterhawk,
        Very nice.
Here is my Cheap Bastard version. not designed for motorcycles.

I splurged for a RAM mount and upgraded to the sandwich bag waterproof system ($2.99 for 50 bags)
As you can see it sits higher than yours so easier to see without losing sight of the road ahead. Remember it is just a tool. Don't believe everything it tells you

I don't even bother with the sandwich bags. I just hide the unit up close to the windshield and if the weather gets bad just pop the GPS into the saddlebags.

Why spend anything extra? If it gets wet, just stick in in a bag full of rice to dry out.

Just saw that...LOL that is so funny but looks like it would work great. I had to mount mine down low for the cafe style fairing I trade off with.

I move the Garmin Zumo to this bike when ever the need. Having 2 bike cradles helps.
