  • headlight question

I have a fairing that I would rather not use...came with the bike. I'm looking for a headlight and Rasputin suggested this one might work but to get confirmation here. I've seen stuff on ebay but curious about this one.

So will this work for my bike?

    Thanks

That will work, but it's a bit industrial looking with it's all-plastic, all-black housing...

If you go to Ebay for an OEM headlight, watch out for the '78 standard headlight as it's a sealed-beam; you want the '79-81 version with it's replaceable halogen lamp.

      Hi Bob,
if you want to keep your Standard's rectangular headlamp motif that guy's price is right but ain't it smaller than stock?
Measure between the headlamp ears to see how wide the replacement lamp bucket needs to be.
The one you are looking at is the same 7" width as the round chrome bucket on that same page.
Dunno what space the Standard has between it's ears but long bolts and a stack of washers can make up the difference.
