I need a good xs11 standard front fender

I need a good front fender for my 79 xs11 standard. I think all the xs11 standard fenders are the same. Aren't they? Anybody have one without dents?

Your '79 standard wears the same front fender as the XS650, I believe, from 1977 and later. At any rate, you may acquire a brand new one from MIKE'S XS.

While the 650 fender fits the same, it doesn't look the same. If nobody on the list (did you look in 'parts for sale'?) has one, they're easily found on Ebay. If you're unsure of fitment (and many Ebay listings don't clearly say if the fender is off a special or a standard), look at how the fender is made. All the special fenders are a one-piece stamping, while the standard fenders have the mounting ears spot-welded to the main fender. They don't interchange, so you need to get the right one...

Just to add to Steve's comment, the XS650 Special front fender fits the XS1100 standard. The only "Special" fender that fits is from the XS650. It looks just like the XS1100 Special fender, but mounts differently, so it fits the standard. The Mike's XS fender is not a replica XS650 fender.

I looked on ebay, and there were junk fenders from $50 shipped and a few good ones for $65 and up shipped. I used to sell these things for $30.
I'll check out mike's xs I wouldn't mind paying more for a new one.

pretty good chrome usual dirt and stuff inside, needs a new rubber thingy for the speedo cable
