going to a specialist end of next week
Best of luck to ya XSWILLY. I was lucky in that an injection worked for many years when I was dealing with a bulged disk and the sciatic nerve. If you haven't done so yet I would recommend looking into it. Back surgery scares the hell out of me, but I am ready for it now. Mine is scheduled for April 1st.

For the last 10 years it worked. For sure I still had to watch what I lifted, but I wasn't in pain.

BTDT 2 times. I had the L5-S1 disc rupture way back in the late 80's...and the disc material(crab meat) was pressing on the spinal nerves thea radiated down my left leg. Before I had the surgery I was flat on my back and even then I was in alot of pain. I tried every other modality for treating this and only when those things didnt work I elected for a neurosurgeon to operate. The first surgery was unsuccessful at getting all the disc material out so 2 months later I underwent the 2nd surgery...I had a lamenectomy...but its been so many yrs since that I've forgotten exactly what that is LOL. Surgery should always be your last resort IMHO. I was onmedical leave of abscence from work for 6 months. It did cure the problem.
