If you are anyplace CLOSE to Central California May 1, you need to check this out. The Dream Machines anything with an engine show will be at the Half Moon Bay Airport Sunday, May 1.

I'm planning/hoping to make it down for it. I was wondering when it was happening and had forgotten when it was (although not really where). Just gotta get my trunk lid fixed up and painted up and my tank fixed up. Other than that, and the fact that Brutus is not a show machine but is a nice solid daily rider, he is ready to go.

Ed's bike is no show queen, and it still gets a LOT of attention! The great thing about this show is it's all gearheads, and we all look past the dirt/grease.
Follow the link, and print out the advance registration form. If it's in before the 15th, it's $30, after that, it's $40. This IS for a vehicle and TWO people, so you can bring along someone who will enjoy this type of thing!

Quick bump! If you are NEAR the Central California area, THIS is the place to be!! Pre-register before Friday, and it's $30 to display your bike. If you just want to show up and see OUR BIKES, it's only $20 per person on Sunday, May1.
It does NOT look like I can get a banner, as Jerry never got his back and the second one is on it's way back East, 5 WEEKS before the rally! Oh well, next year.......

Unfortunately several family things have just come up that will prevent me from participating this year. I was looking forward and had filled out the form and had it ready to mail tomorrow as soon as I got my paycheck. But the family stuff has got to come first, and I have stuff till late the night before, and stuff that afternoon here in town for my granddaughter that I'm just not going to miss.

I was really looking forward to getting down there and meeting Ed and getting to hopefully a few other guys as well. I don't think I will be able to make it down to the Calli Rally either but will have to see. Maybe next year, or maybe a little day rally and BBQ up here in our area a little later in the year.

The weather forecast looks good and I'm just finishing fiddling with the pre-trip checks for the bike so I'll be riding up north to Salinas tomorrow morning. I'll leave the motel early and meet up with everyone in Santa Cruz on Sunday morning for the ride to the Dream Machines event!

OK, so it's mid-week and I'm late with the pics, so sue me!
Scott was running a little late, so we didn't leave Santa Cruz until after 8:00am. We did a rocket ride the 50 miles from Ed's house to Half Moon Bay Airport, and got into the show!
There was so much to see, we didn't come close, but these pictures should show some of what we saw! click on the photo's to see them "full size".

Next year, WE NEED MORE BIKES! This was a great place to be!

I picked up a cold or something on the trip and haven't even unpacked the bike or pulled the pictures and videos off my mobile phone yet.

I did spot one picture from a series of Dream Machines pictures taken by Barbie Biker and posted to the HD binaries newsgroup of me and the XSesseses in the background behind a sweet '46 Indian that we parked next to. Those pictures have already made it to a web-to-news portal in South Africa!
