I understand that there have been record setting floods in Aussie-land. I haven't seen recent postings from our upside down brothers and I am concerned. I hope you are well. Please check in.

Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!
My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike. Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
I've been riding since 1959.
A little further south than Auzzie, here in New Zealand. Chrisrchurch where I am, is still having earthquakes after our big one of 7.1 back in Sep 10. we are averageing 5 per day, aftershocks ranging fom 2.5's to 5.1's .
A very interesting sensation riding when one hits, it can be discribed as having two very soft tyres,
But our brothers acoss the creek in Auzzie? Im sure they will al report in soon, there has been lots of rain for sure, but what about the guys in the NewYork area? digging their EX's out of snow drifts?
Brian has been on here and there, so he is ok at least.

In any moment of decision the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst thing you can do is nothing.
Thanks for your thoughts, Special Ed.
From the reports I've heard, all hands are still on deck over here. The floodwaters here in Queensland have abated but there's still a massive clean up happening in Brisbane. All eyes up here are now focussed on two tropical cyclones that have formed up and look likely to follow one another onto the North Queensland coast, the first due to hit tomorrow afternoon and the other later in the week. That could be bad! Besides the damaging winds and torrential rain they bring, nearly all of the dams are full already and will offer only minimal protection for towns against further floodwaters.
In Victoria, a few of the lads had a meet'n greet last week so the flooding in that part of the country mustn't have affected them too much, though a lot of that state has been inundated during the last couple of weeks too.

I haven't been keeping track of the post in a while, and if I had read further I would have seen another Aussie thread further down. I suggest we go to the thread already started. I'll still check here whenever I see there has been a post.
I'm glad we haven't lost anyone and hope that you are keeping your bikes high and dry!
