Riding Gear

Hey Guys-

I have a '78 Yamaha XS750E with the 3/2 exhaust. My question is, what riding gear have you come across that prevents the exhaust from permeating your clothing? Not sure what type of material I am looking for. All I know is that I cannot go to work in the riding season smelling like exhaust all day. Thanks fellas.

You may have an exhaust leak if it's blowing up on you. Check your exhaust gaskets up front and all the joints in your system. Fumes are just gonna stick to what ever they contact. But they shouldn't contact you if your system is intact.

I have a TourMaster jacket and pants, made out of Cordura fabric. Doesn't seem to hold much in the way of odors.

I agree. You should not be getting exhaust fumes on you in the first place. The pipes end behind your legs, pointing it away from you. Really though, if you have that much in the way of fumes, you either have a really bad leak, are running REALLY rich, or both.
