  • Missing the Falcon but...

I am quite enamored of the new Z1000. With room for only one motorcycle I didn't want a full-tilt sport bike and the Kawi is pretty well rounded. It's stock for now, aside from an upgraded horn and a Flash 2 Pass. The F2P is good stuff. A quick double-tap of the high beams and the garage door opens or closes. Practical, and somehow fun!? The vanity plate, "AYNI" is a recent acquisition. It's a Peruvian/Andean word that means "today for you, tomorrow for me". Reciprocity in all things. A good way to live IMHO. Anyway, I've treated myself to some new gear for Christmas...

Thank you I had a few bikes on my list when shopping last year (in addition to the Z1000). Ducati Monster, Triumph Street Triple, Yamaha FZ1 or perhaps a leftover Suzuki B-King. I saw the Z in person and that was it. It looks like a Transformer, lol. Regarding performance, it's geared pretty low. Top end around 150 MPH. 0-60 in 2.6, 0-100 in 6.0 (!) I touched 142 (indicated) when horsing around with a Gixxer 750. On a naked bike with a vestigial windscreen it was quite an experience! Mom was not happy when I posted details of my encounter on FB...

Lee, it's the new Icon Alliance Hi-Vis. The silver paint is reflective like a street sign, kinda cool. Icon makes a Hi-Vis jacket that's on my wish list. Until I get that I'll continue to wear a DOT vest over my jacket. The way I see it, if someone hits me they were aiming to do so!

            I can only imagine.
I used to have to play down my ride reports for my Mom. She absolutely HATED the bikes and I'd always get... the look.

Glad you're having a great time with your new toys!
