Old bikers never die, they're just out of sight!
My recently re-built, hopped up '79 Special caught fire and burned everything from the top of the engine up: gas tank, wiring, seat, & melted my windshield all over the front of the bike.
Just bought a 1980 Special that has been non oped for 9 years. My Skoot will rise from the ashes and be re named "The Phoenix!"
I've been riding since 1959. -

Its a great idea, and has been repeated in different venues across the country and in Great Britain. There was an outdoor market on the East Coast where they did a bit from composer Puccini, not real well known (and not sing-along) but great fun. It's an obvious setup with about a dozen professional singers and the rest were people that got caught up in the moment. Not a bad idea but not spontaneous at all...

It's not supposed to be spontaneous. It's only supposed to LOOK spontaneous. All the singers are usually professional or at least trained vocalists. There are tons of these flash mob events on Youtube, and they are great entertainment! I just wish I could be around when one happened...

Yep Geezer, you entirely missed the point. Of course it isn't a spontaneous event!
The participants are clearly professional vocalist. As an amateur thespian I can fully appreciate the planning that went into pulling that off. And for a choir of that size to be that coordinated while scattered out like that is truly amazing. I have watched several other “flashmob” videos since being turned on to that one, but none of them moved me or amazed me like that one!
By the way, I am in a local production of “Miracle on 34th Street: The Play.” I have 3 bit parts, Drunken Santa,
Mr. Blomingdale, and the bailiff in the courtroom scene The final show is next week end: I'll send photo's.
