I'm using my "overpants" and jacket to keep the wind out. Fieldsheer pants have a liner that works VERY WELL. My FirstGear Kilimanjaro jacket I use without the liner. I just put a polar fleece jacket on underneeth when it's REALLY cold, and I'm warm. The hands are the big thing for me, though. I DO have heated grips, but still need to plug in the heated gloves to keep the fingers working well.
As I now commute on a BMW, I get to see how cold it is! Got down to 34F on the way in this morning, and at 70MPH that is COLD!

      Cold?

Day after Thanksgiving, 22 degrees, took my 79SF over to my Mom's house so I have room to work on my new F model. Ran 70MPH down the US20 Bypass. No I don't want to know what the wind chill is at that speed I wore my Cabela Dryplus Waterfowling bibs and parka(MossyOak Shadowgrass camo) , Herman Survivor boots and Gortex/thinsulate gloves. Of course I wore my helmet, but wish I remembered to close the vents! Got a few strange looks from the cagers(wimps)

I've been wearing fleece pajama pants under sweat pants under jeans under chaps...with a long sleeve t-shirt under a sweater under a sweatshirt under another sweatshirt, under my riding jacket...some regular insulated winter riding gloves that are a bit wore out as well as a neckgator to keep the wind out from my jacket and stuff and a full face helmet that lets too much cold in on my head, long socks with my leather boots...and its barely bareable...i feel like the marshmellow man without as much style and less mobility...

and for all that ride in this horrific weather...we may look stupid...but who cares...were riding...and you guys are heros in my book...
