Anyone out there watcing the World Series as closely as I and my buddies?
I don't know if anyone watched the last of the National League playoffs but that was as exciting a baseball game as I have watched in a long time.
As for being a Giants fan...I was hooked when I was old enough to sit on a stool in the garage listening to Willie Mays, the Alou brothers etc play ball while my dad stood tinkering at the workbench. Saturday and Sunday afternoon games were my favorite.
This year in the payoffs the Giants looked like they didn't really want to win and I made the mistake of texting a fellow rabid Giants buddy that "if the Giants got to the series I would dye MY beard black". He saved the text...
Yes it is black.. A little out of place with the grey up top but what the hell, maybe it is good karma.
The series is turning out to be every bit as good as any I have watched lately. I am sort of in a bind because Nolan Ryan is one of the ball players I really admire. Little tough to root against him now that he is a part owner in the Rangers.
To the Gob of folks down in Texas....Good luck. It will be a first for either team that wins.
However, if the grey starts to show before the end of the series, I will be getting the black dye back out....... Go Giants!!!
