  • Parked the rig for winter.

Today was the day. My son Eric and I put a huge dose of winterizing jollop in our gas tanks and rode the rigs on the ice & snow covered streets to the gas station to fill their gas tanks brim-full.
Then we drove the rigs into the back yard and parked them nose to tail under the newly rebuilt and enlarged back deck.
After squirting engine fogger into the plug holes, replacing the plugs and pulling the batteries we covered both bikes with a medium sized car cover where they will stay until next spring.
Now there's lots of room in the garage for the family Buick.

Ha, I still have one on you, then. I am able to brave the 17 degree rides to work still, since it is still dry! It is kind of sad to winterize, though man. I feel for you!
Healthy is merely the slowest rate at which you can die

Some people will tell you that slow is good - and it may be, on some days - but I am here to tell you that fast is better. I’ve always believed this, in spite of the trouble it’s caused me. Winter!

Sorry to hear you had to put the bikes away, fredintoon. I am still riding, but my time is short. I have some things I want to do to the bike over the Winter so I guess it's ok. My bike stays in an attached garage so it is never too far away and even with the car in the garage I have room to work on the bike.

Its now in the 70's but a bit chilly in the mornings. I like riding year round. I can dress for the cold but not the heat.

If you havent been you really should make time to go the barber museum.

                            Fred,

Feel your pain, just came back from my sons place (90 miles north of me) in 34 degree weather, dropped to 32 degrees with rain and snow in the last few miles, almost could not make the slight incline into the shed when I got home, may be her last trip this year although the weather guesser thinks maybe in the forties for the first part of next week.

T99, just came through Montana Friday, had a winter front chasing me, good luck there!
