  • Plastic wind shied

I need some advise on cleaning up a plastic fairing win shied. It has some small scratches and some abrasions.

Maguieres has some plastic polish that helped my windshield a lot. Each time I use it the shield gets more clear. Apply and wipe off with a microfiber cloth for best results.

If you need something more agressive to remove scratches and to polish to a clear lustre, try Meguires headlight polishing kit. It works.

          Hi Jack,
          in a word, Plexus.
The price will make you shudder but it works superbly.
They clean helicopter bubbles with it.

I keep a can of it in my fairing all the time. It's great stuff for cleaning and polishing. However, it doesn't do anything for scratch removal.

Thanks Guys, I will look into the Plexus, but if the cost is too big a big out of my bike buget, I will go to the Meguires. Thanks again.

The headlight cleaning kits start with 800 or 1000 wet/dry paper and it takes a lot of rubbing but the results are great. Agree Plexus is a fine product for instant clear but it soon wears off. Aerosol furniture polish is a cheap alternative.
