    THAT'S A WRAP ... Is anyone else all packed up for the season?

    I just finished prepping the last of my bikes for winter storage and packed them into the garage today. I'm not holding out enough hope for a late Indian summer to leave them ready to use. I also have many other pre winter jobs that need to be completed during dry times so it seemed fitting to pack them away now.
    If there's any good news in calling it a wrap, I did manage to pack all 4 of them is tight enough to leave enough floor space for the the bike I'm bringing home next weekend.
    Is anyone else all packed up for the season?

        Well whoda thunkit I changes my oil and cleaned my carbs and she runs good and now its going to rain all week. Its not supposed to rain in sun diego

          Prepped for winter!!

          Yes I am, just got two new tires on the G, thanks to the hands-on tutoring by Bikerphil.
          Weather here is turning for the better, cooler. Summer is too hot to ride far inland, so pleasant riding temperatures looming ahead.
          Sorry for rubbing it in, but that's why we live here..... no twisties though.

            No way!

            Its year round riding in the Great State of Texas. (ok so I don't ride Quite as much in Winter, but sometimes!!)

                Put mine away yesterday. Pulled the tank and side covers. Having them painted next week. Looking to buy all new badges for it if any one knows where to get them. Also looking for some showa shocks off a 1100 Shadow Areo. and i am thinking i am going to go to a chrome exhaust system too.

                      I will be storing one of my bikes the one without the Vetter fairing on it sometime in a couple of weeks .
                      My other SG the BDF Special with the Vetter fairing I plan on riding until the snow fly's even then if the temps are above 2 degrees celsius and there is no snow on the roads I will still be riding when I get the chance.The Vetter fairing with lowers keep most of the cold air off my legs and chest so I really don't get cold .I just wear a long sleeved shirt under my jacket and I am okay , just a bit of a cold draft on my back .
                      I usually pack my bikes away around the middle to the end of Nov. and keep them ready for a nice day if the temps warm up .

                        Cold WX comfort!!

                        Hey Guys,
                        For those of you who still brave the cold temps and continue riding, I have a pair of heated grips for sale. I sure won't be needing them in FL.

                          I know I can't ride all year around here, but I fire the bike up every week or so, and regardless of the temp outside, if there's no snow or ice on the ground, I will at least take it around the block. I can ride without significant discomfort as cold as about 15 degrees F, after that I gotta really pack on the winter gear. have a nice day and ride safe

                            Sneaux?

                            Winter?? What winter.. Just getting good here in Louisiana! No rubbing intended! Summers are brutal here what the the heat and humidity we see here. Sneaux is pretty much non existent but right now the mosquitoes are baaaaaaaad!!!

                              Western Colorado, not yet snowing so I am looking at getting some more riding in over the next few weeks. Snow forcast in the high country, above 9K feet, will be a few weeks until it makes its way down to my elevation, around 5K feet.

                              I don't really set my bikes up for the winter anymore, as it seems there are a few days every month that I can ride a bit. Bikes sit in my garage. I do add Sta-Bil to topped-off gas tanks and last oil change of the year is normally to 5W-30 oil instead of my regular 10w-30 oil. That way I am set for spring riding. Clean the battery tops and generally check out everything else, including a clean-and-wax job and I'm done.
