I was wondering if there are any other XS1100 owners that live in the Jackson, MS area. I am new to the XS's. I bought a 79 special last summer for $45 it's in great condition with only 7,xxx miles on it. The previous owner made some engine mods and fooled with the carbs and it runs but needs some carb tuning. I was hoping to find someone that knows about these bikes and to help me get it running correctly then do some riding.

It probably does need some carb tuning, but if it's been sitting for any period of time it probably needs a good carb cleaning too, and that might be all that is needed, other than the normal adjustments done when putting them back on the bike.Cy
