Hi guys. I know that some of you may have been around when Mr.'s Harley & Davidson first introduced their fantastic new machine, and may be more comfortable with waiting on the pony express to deliver your mail; but I'm sure more than a few of us have wanted to make contact with the others on the site a little faster.
Whether it's needing help with a repair asap, or trying to locate a part that another member has for sale, just wanting to shoot the bull, etc, sometimes, waiting for an answer on the forum just isn't gonna cut it. In a perfect world, we'd be able to pick up the phone and call someone on the list.
Are any of you familiar with, or have you used IRC (internet relay chat) for chat? If so, and you currently have an irc client installed and would like to chat sometime, I set up a room on undernet.org . The room is simply called #XS11 . I'm on there at the moment, if you want to talk.
For anyone who is not familiar with IRC, but *IS* interested in chatting, I recommend heading over to: http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/new2irc.html
Once you have read the primer, and if you are interested, you will need a client. There are a few listed on the irc site, such as mIRC. I am a long time irc'er, and can tell you that one of the simplest clients I've ever used is Leafchat. You can get it here: http://www.leafdigital.com/software/.../download.html
If you have questions, pm me.
