hello everyone. just bought a 80std minus front end .Seems that this poor soul was involved in custody dispute in a divorce. so the husband who couldn't give up his beloved XS, figured if he couldn't keep it ,she wasn't going to get either. So he took a sawsall and cut the bike in half, and gave her the front half. He finally decided to sell the half he had. I bought what he had, which was from the motor back.Is suppose to have 12k on bike. Bought it for the extra parts and motor. Owner said it ran perfect when he cut it apart.bike looks to be low miles ,but not sure since she got the speedo with front end. But fuse box is still o.e,and so is pickup coil wiring no corrosion to wiring. was probrably garage keep.when i bought it it was sitting out side. found another one but owner won't sell .looks like been siting outside for a few years. Is missing some parts. will keep working on him for awhile.

Unfortunately, if he cut it in half, it would need a lot more than a new frame and front end. It would seem that the wiring harness might be one of the harder aspects if you were to try to resurect it.
I have a 79 F partzer that I have taken just about everything that I want from.
I have no idea what you would have to pay to ship from CA to Iowa, but I would let it go for a song, if ever you decide to try to "bring yours back to life"Mike
