It seems funny .........but about the only time I get a chance to ride "Battle Cat" is to church on Sundays and Wednesday nights.........., cause I have to be there at a different time from the wife and kids. Now other people there are getting into buying and riding bikes. Wasn't counting on that but I'll take it!! One thing for sure You'll never feel much closer to GOD than when you're ridin' with the wind in your face! That's my opinion and I hope it don't offend any of you guys cause this website has certainly been a truly positive thing for me! (P.S. ride careful cause you just might find out how close, if you know what I mean HAHA)

I find your comments interesting because it seems that my main destination on the xs is also church!
The only problem is that it takes me a lot longer to get home from church when I ride the bike. (There's this beautiful winding road along the river that for some reason the bike demands that I use for the ride home.)

Been riding about 60 miles a day back and forth to work, mostly superslab, but still enjoyable. Don't know how much longer this can go on....already has been snow in the high country and below freezing in some parts of the state (Denver). I can see the fresh snow from my commuting route. Hope to get a nice "Indian Summer" and keep on riding for another month, but you never know.

Need both tires replaced, oil change, other routine maintenance before I hang it up for the winter. Just bought a '92 Saturn 4-door for cold-weather commuting, hope it gets me back and forth OK. At least it has a sun roof, so I can get some views and air into the car. Riding in the mountains in a cage just isn't the same as biking it.
