I just wanted to share. I have had the great fortune to have received a lot of thing over the last few years for the price of $0.00. I thank all of you and I am continually amazed just to list a few things. A pacifico fairing. Kerker pipes, bar risers, blinkers and a stranger gave me their flannel off their back when I got caught in a rainstorm on my 78 ! Keep that in mind when you see someone who needs a hand.

Just the way I think, but I feel like I can never catch up with all the good things folks have done for me. Especially since my accident, it was amazing the number of cards, and letters, and messages I received. The number of offers I had for parts, the parts I have been able to get for Banshee, very impressive. Even had a good friend of mine came over my house measured up and built a ramp system so I could get in and out in the wheelchair while I was unable to walk. All he asked for was a cold beer and a thank you. ALOT of time and work went into that "temporary" ramp system. I think there are highway bridges that are more temporary than that thing.

But you can bet your azz I'll be doing my best to try and catch up. However, I do believe that things like that won't happen to someone who is not willing to give of themselves. So I do believe it says something of your character that people have been so gracious to you.

I've donated a few odds and ends over the years … then
I sent a guy a complete starter clutch asm. from an engine with low miles.
Looked really nice to me and was one that I’d been saving for the day it might have been needed. No good turn goes unpunished tho
Glad that his kick starter was working

Seems I recall that person not blaming anyone for it not working. It's one of those luck of the draw things, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. And to make it worse, some of the more problematic parts a NLA in new form so you have to take your chances with used, and some of them require a complete teardown to install.

I have received some very valuable things for nada too. Two complete sets of carbs too and when I get the carbs rebuilt there will be some other happy guys/girls here too who might need a set.
