    Cleaned up

Well, I did the wet sand and chrome polish thing. The outer pipes cleaned up OK. but the inner ones are gone. If I sanded anymore off I'd have some pretty porous headers.

And here she is, cleaned up a bit with a new seat. (Which I did a terrible job painting, gonna have to try that one again )

Thanks for the tips so far.

Nice seat. The bike looks good. I thought you only had rust around the back sides of the header. Looks like it went all the way around the middle set. I have a few parts exhausts out in the garage. I'll check and see what the inner pipes look like.
I saw an xs11 online the other day. They took the rear fender off or moved it so far foward that you couldn't see it anymore, and just had the seat cowl as the rear. I thought it looked pretty good.

Good looking bike! I like what the new seat did for looks.

Nice!, I think that's the best looking standard I ever saw. I'd be doing some camping on that.
