      I don't think there are any salvageable parts left from that firebird. Talk about lucky to be alive!

        He might be alive, but how much of what little brains he had to begin with is left, that is a different issue all together. That had to be well over 100 MPH to launch 15 feet like that. Its only about an hour from my house.

          According to the comments, some of which purport to be from eye witnesses, he basically walked away from it. I can imagine what he must have felt like the next day though.

            No, he didn't walk away... MSNBC now has a clip showing the various hunks of car and noting that the guy is critical, he was ejected when the car came apart. By all rights, he should be dead...
