The gen 1 v max did the 1/4 in 11.3 not 10.6 and that's with a 130. Pound tester jody what's his face? I owned an 85 vmax. Id take my 79f. They are faster than an 80 easily.

One of the fine members of this forum sold me a set of lightly used Progressive Suspension shocks with standard rate springs. The difference from stock is huge!

I've been able to improve the performance on my G in the twisties by installing progressives in the forks and tightening my rear springs to the max. I also dropped the front by about 3/4", which helped too. I'm now looking for replacements for the rear shocks and springs w/out breaking the bank.
Used Harley Davidson 07 or older FLH touring electraglide or road king. $25 to $50 on ebay reguilarly. Often with LOW miles since some wanted lowering shocks. These are air shocks 0-35 psi, about an inch longer than stock XS11 shocks. Rubber from XS shock should be put into the eye of HD shock so mounting bolt fits snugly.
On my to do project list.
