Back in April after having some personal issues arise at a part time job,I told my boss and resigned.He said if things improve i am welcome back.Now i once again look to go back to the job and they told me that they would have to check if i was rehire-able.If i am not can i get legal help and fight this?After all i was not fired and wrote a letter and quit after they decided i should take time off to sort out any issues.

Not sure what the laws are in your state, but here in MO, there is no legal recourse whatsoever. As a "Right to Work" state, they can fire you with no reason at all, just like you can quit with no notice if you choose. Verbal promises mean absolutely nothing to the law anywhere, so unless you went on a "Leave of absence" (remained employed, but not getting paid) I seriously doubt you could fight it.1980 XS850SG - Sold
