And I thought photogray lenses were cool. I gotta have one of these.

I wonder if this technology will find it's way into eyeglasses...?

I have self tinting lenses now but it takes several minutes to change from dark to light or vise-versa. These are instant on and if they can get dark enough they'd be perfect for welding helmets with a light meter attached to control on off

I used to have a pair of those. I'd come in from a test ride and they'd be so dark I couldn't get back to work for several minutes.

              We already got it!!

My welding hood already operates like that and is totaly adjustable to top it off!!! Used it since '97 and even gave one to my son to use(welder also) they work great, There are several companies in america who could make this better and cheaper, just gettin' 'em to do it! Mine is an upper end model that cost me about $275.

This sounds different from the LCD welding helmets.

Maybe, It's a Jackson. Been around for years. I see LOTS of other brands now. Miller, Hobart, Horning, Radnor and many more! Just thinking on the bike visor thing......It would be great for racers on bikes or cars. Great new use for an existing technology!!
