Oh, yeah, I was surprised to see it wasn't somebody from on here the way things have been going. I still haven't figure out if it was for real (the accident part) or staged, I'm leaning toward staged at this point.

Created senario or not, I think the point that can be taken from the video is....

Any safety device, be it a guard on a fan or the safety on a rifle is wortless if you aren't using your head or paying attention.

Ultimately WE are the only person responsible for OUR safety.

      Be safe..

+1 on the responsibility. The message is, only you can take responsibility for your safety. All the gadgets in the world are no good if you don't look before you pull into traffic.

Reward VS. the preceived possibility of success.

Years ago I had a college professor who stood in front of our business management class one day with a tennis ball. He was tossing it up a couple feet and catching it.

He asked "Who would like to bet me a dollar that if I toss this ball in the air the next time that it will fall back down?" Quite a few hands went up.

He then asked "Who would be willing to bet a hundred dollars that it will come back down?" Still quite a few hands.

Then he asked " A thousand?"

            Then he said....

"Who would be willing to bet their life?"

There just isn't such a thing as "fool proof" or "safety". Risk vs. Reward. When we believe something is totaly safe, nothing can go wrong and let your guard down, along comes a delivery truck.........

It was funny. I was giggling a little just at the description of what it was supposed to do. I mean, all that stuff on a HUD, to make things even worse distraction wise? And then to show even worse what WILL happen when you don't pay attention to what your doing. The painful part is that I used to know riders who were that dumb.
