Mine is the Bat. When the guys at the job saw pics of the bike the day I brought her home they ribbed me because the Vedder fairing reminds you of the Bat Bike from the Adam West Batman series.

My wife's V-Max is Tumbles. The guys from our STAR chapter started calling my wife Tumbles after a spill in Long Island. I was in our chase car (with the kids and trailer) behind a line of over fifty machines when I heard over the CB the words "Someone tell Charlie that Barb's o.k." I freaked out. She's only insured for $100K I found out later she took a sandy right turn when a car pulled over the double yellow and right out in front of her trying to make an illegal left turn. In a panic she grabbed the front brake and low sided. After a short slide and tumble she jumped up, ran back to the 650 pound bike, righted it and rode off with nothing but a scratch on her helmet and a nice pipe burn to her right leg. She was gone before the guys behind her were even off their bikes. The car disappeared. When we reached our destination 30 minutes later she received first aid for the burn and bears both the scar and the name "Tumbles". BTW, Barb is 5'10" in riding boots, 150lbs, and is PR which basically means she's one bad female dog.

      Hey Kronk and other newbies,

      Check out
      this old megathread
      for some good stories.

I had never named a bike that I had until I joined this group. I've always liked green. I resurrected my bike after a 9 year hiatus due to the 2nd/1st gear problem that I learned how to fix from the then XS11 yahoo group. Wanted a bit of a gutteral sounding name....hmmmm what's a GREEN jJapanese beast that wouldn't die....... GODZILLA!

      History shows again and again,
How nature points out the folly of men!

        Thanks topcat

By the way, the saddle bags.... costom? I love the diamond plate thing, and was thinking of getting a bit, but if they are costom, and you are within a 2000 mile radius, I won't. lol
There are only two types of bikers...
those that have layed it down, and
those that have not layed it down...YET!
