Welcome phantymwulf, Im out in Mexico NY (near Oswego ) now and plan to stay here for a while. I was going to RIT in Rochester but just graduated the end of May. Its nice to see more central New Yorkers around! I bought my bike down in Arcade and aside from passing through your area on the way to pick my bike up Ive only been out near your are twice. Caledonia area was the closest I came for a ride. Im originally from the Watkins Glen area and return there once in a while to visit family, if I was coming from Rochester I would drive 390 and go by Lethworth. Very nice area, reminds me of home.

          Hi,
Thanks for the post!! I know exactly where you are..Rode twice thru there on my way to Adams Center..We took 104 to 81. Stayed there over a few days with a friend..who had a Gold Wing 1500. We rode to the Locks in Messena. & visited my Dad in Chippewa bay..So was a wondrful ride. Except on the way back..The July "storms" ( we hit 4) were so bad I couldnt even see anything 3 ft in front of me unless some one put thier brakes on..Was a real drowned rat..LOL..Did that on my KZ1000. yrs ago.. Found my XS1100 about 3 mths ago..What a nice bike.. So much power!! This is my 1st shaft dr..Just got lucky on Craigs list to find it..8 miles from my house only had 25,000 miles on it..gave 1500$ all he asked. so I didnt even offer a lower price. Just a super clean bike..Bought a new battery .& off I was ..Only thing Im looking for is a 160 MPH speedometer mine is only the 80MPH..Sucks..Funny how some lady from Utah told me about you in NY...I hope there are more ..My girlfriend & I ride alone all the time..Got 2000 miles on the last 2 mths..We are planning to go to Syracuse To see the Zoo. Stay & go to the Spagetti Factory in Verona beach..

I'm originally from NY, Woodhull to be exact. I rode the Southern Finger Lakes region extensivelly in the day. Beautiful country, but too humid and hot for me...

                  ???

Woodhull not Woodhall, on old rt 17, is now 417 between Corning and Hornell and between Jasper and Addison. Small town, about 200 people. Stays that way because everytime some girl gets pregnant, some guy has to leave town. LOL

Yes......Woodhull..I have a friend who races there a few times a summer. So I know where it is.
Cow farts are all over..Specially living in a dairy county. 86 has some nice road from Wellsville to cuba. Salmanca to Jamestown has some rough spots..& lots of troopers!!

                          Back in the day

I had some really fast cars and found that those troopers were immediately in trouble as soon as they got off the main road and were easy to lose. Of course in those days they had to actually catch you and they didn't write tickets, they took you to the nearest JP for immediate justice.

I have owned a few fast cars also..I had a 80' Trans am W/455 out of a 76' grand prix..stuffed under the hood. I now have an 84' trans am W/ 350 built truck motor.. got a ticket on 490 W the 80'..Lady trooper Said it "looked fast".. Had a beat up truck pass me in the fast lane.. flying by the trooper. she pulled me over for 71 in a 55..When asked how was I doing 71 in bettween 2 cars doing 55 ( a volkswagon & family car) She had no answer but "it looked fast")..Go figure...

Hi Tom. I'm just west of Rochester. Grew up in Horseheads. School in Geneseo. I'm always back and forth through the finger lakes.
Ever been to Poag's Hole hill climb in Dansville? Should be coming up in a week or two. Fun day.
Sounds like you found yourself a nice bike.
