I'm considering a hard plastic case that I've seen on ATV's mounted by a saddlebag. I'lllook closer at what the local motorcops do on their ST's

      Hbt!!

The Gun Control debate stops now or this thread gets locked. The thread was about 'how do you carry' not 'why' or 'should you be able to.'

+1 on the stopping the debate.

I'm not sure how I could safely and legally carry in Ca on a motorcycle, since IIRC it has to be unloaded and the ammo has to be in a separate compartment. I'm not sure if the saddlebags and/or fairing pockets count.

hey there folks....have been reading this thread and also very closely following the court rulings that are happening.....i agree that the constitution might be some "must" reading for the supreme court, but go figure.....won't go there and another HBF (did i type that!) thread........i have looked at the rebel devil and thought these same thoughts.......i think 3 - M134 mini guns, one mounted on the tail deck and the other two mounted on the engine guard bars would make my commute to work much easier!!!.....and if i have to down grade, would mount the hand gun right on the tank in plain sight, just to let others know i don't have a problem using it!!....ride hard, ride safe...ross

I found a good theft-deterrent is an empty holster clipped on the handlebar.

California assembly bill AB1934 will be up for a vote in the state senate.
It would ban all open carry in the state. Even if you own a business on your own property.

It is going to come up for a vote soon and may pass by as little as one vote.

                Moral of the story:

Don't think about open carry in this state until you check the laws....

                  Debate?

Someone ask a direct question. Are we to ignore that person? Or can we give him an answer? If it looked to the mods like an inflammatory question, maybe it should have been removed. If you want this to be a site just about motorcycles then remove all the other forums. That would be OK by me. I came here for that, anyway. I only responded because it was a direct question. That is the only reason. Wasn't trying to debate anyone, just giving my reason, sorry.

                      Someone did ask a question:

"Just wondering if anyone here carries concealed while riding. If so, what type of holster do you use?"

Your lengthy, cut and paste response didn't even address that questions. So, a reminder to all that this will not be a right to carry/gun control topic.

                            Hey Brian,

You might want a layer of felt inside that scabbard. Made one that did not have it and the leather sure wore the gun. JAT

The question I was refering to was reply #15. But I think you know that. By the way is it against your rules to cut and paste? Just wondering.

Not sure I should be posting here now, given the furiory I seem to have unintentionally created, but I've been thinking about that. I'm not sure I want to use felt though. I'd prefer a soft vinyl or something else that isnt going to hold water if it gets wet on the inside.
