        Great buy! I like what Bob did with the bikes, just wish I was closer so I could have seen the shop!

        FYI, I remember in 1981 finding broken pickup wires on XS1100 bikes just over 2 years old.
        Just so you know, I told Yamaha about the problem in 1978, when I had a wire go bad on my first XS1100! I was working at Gilroy Yamaha at the time, as THE mechanic. I only had about 16K miles on the bike at the time. And yes, it WAS 1978, because I picked up my bike the first week of September in 1977.
        I have a 1978 in parts now, and plan to put it together something like Bob would have. I just LIKE the look of his bikes.
        The Seca 650 Turbo IS a fun bike, and it's REALLY FUN when you have the Yamaha boost kit on it. 12 PSI Max boost, and about 1.5 seconds of turbo lag...

                I like the added green stripe and the lowered form factor of the new seat. I think it adds to the "look".
