If I can make at least one person smile, or pee their pants a little, or maybe spit out their drink; then my day is not wasted.

Thanks from the bottom of my heart to you all. I really appreciate it.
It was a GREAT ONE!
Started out this a.m. with a round of golf w/ my son, Chris. First hole I Birdied...(4) almost Eagled! He, on the other hand opened w/ a stellar '8'. Now... my son is 22, and is a VERY good golfer... usually... so I was lovin' it!
(Normally, he beats the old man... so my chances were lookin' pretty good w/ a 4 stroke lead outta the chute...
All in all, I had a solid game... 'til the last hole when the wheels fell off! He on the other hand, kept gaining on me... 1 shot at a time. The last hole, I had a great drive right down the middle of the fairway, out about 280 yards... and got a terrible bounce right... right into a pond! Cost me a couple strokes right there... and in the end, Chris beat me by 1 stroke! (82 to 83.)
But it was a blast, and we both love the competition w/ one another. We both drive about the same distance...
Golf has become a great bond between he & I. It's the one thing we found we can do together that we really love, (besides work... he's my helper in the electrical business as well...) and it's brought us together in a great way.
Got some nice shirts... a cool fan for my living room, gift cards... awesome phone calls from each of my loved ones wishing me Happy Birthday... and this evening, my kids took me out to Osaka's Japanese Restraunt for dinner... awesome cheescake complete w/ candles... the staff sang Happy Birthday to me... and then spent the evening w/ an awesome ride on the 'ole XJ up around Skiatook Lake. Perfect weather... very nice ride.
One of the best birthdays I've ever had.
Now, I end the day here, w/ my XSive family.... what more could a guy want? Thank you all for helping me celebrate.
Greg.... Man, I saw that picture in your thread of your gas tank! So sorry! That's terrible! Thanks for the heads up.... that's one of those things that probably everyone knew... but ya just don't think about it... until that happens! What a drag! Sure hope you can get it repainted & looking good again.
Ohhh! I almost forgot! I got to see Miles Baker yesterday! He & his wife drove down from Castle Rock, Co. to visit their Son & the new twins in Owasso, OK. That's only about 20 miles from here. He sold me an 850 FD he had intended a while back installing in my XJ before he sold it to me, but never did. I brought it home... stripped the paint down, cleaned it good, and repainted it. Turned out great! Planning on installing it next weekend.
Like I said... It's been one cool B'day for me.
