  • Congratulations!

This Tues. evening, May 25th marks my daughter's High School Graduation.
She's my youngest of 3 kids... just turned 18 last month.
She has been accepted & plans on attending OSU in the fall.
She has plans on becoming a Physical Therapist.

    Empty nest now... kinda bittersweet.

BUT..... I also have a HUGE announcement as well.... (trumpets blow...)

On that same day, my eldest son & daughter-in-law will be having their 4th son!!! It'll be Cesarian... so the time, place, sex of the child, all that has all ready been established... they've even chosen the name... Christian Eric Embrey.
Yep... it's definitely why they're called the 'microwave generation'...

This will be my 5th grandchild... and I can barely wait! Love them grandkids!

So, probably won't be on here too much on Tuesday... gonna be a bit busy!
Just had to share the big news around my house.

    Hey Bob!
I hope your daughter likes rain. Out here in the Northwest it is most of the year. Our snow level just dropped to 2500 feet for tonight. Weird year allready. Have her bring warm clothes. There is a real reason they call them the Oregon Ducks. I am not sure anymore which one is the Ducks, don't watch much sports anymore.

      Hey, Newbie!
I think maybe I didn't explain the school well enough... my bad!
Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Ok.
Sorry for the misunderstanding! I didn't even think about how many other schools across the nation use the same abbreviations... hehehe
I can tell ya one thing for sure... she wouldn't be able to concentrate too well if it's that cold there and that's where she was going! She is VERY cold natured...

          Hey Bob,
She can keep "uncle Cody" in line!! Congrats on all the goings on, and I hope everyone has a good time on the graduation! My daughter will be starting as a Sophomore in the fall at Cogswell in Sunnyvale, CA. She is VERY artistic, and is trying to get into the video game or animation side of things. My son should be starting boot camp within a month. He doesn't know what he want's to do, but is going into the Air Force, as the Navy didn't want him. He only scored a 99 on the entrance exam, but health problems from his younger days has got in the way.

Congrats to your Daughter & son as well! That's cool!

As for 'Uncle Cody', not sure who I need to be watching who there!!! LOL
Probably better rely on Denice to keep them BOTH in line!

              Hey, Ray...
When you say "Only scored a 99" does that mean out of 100, or what's the grading scale for that exam?

If it is 99 out of 100, that's awesome! But too bad about the physical...

He may decide he likes the AF better... who knows?
Is he wanting to fly, or work on a ship?

I take it there's a big difference between the two branches physical requirements?

I hope your daughter's successful in breaking into that profession! That would be a cool way to make a living, I think! Good luck to them both.
              Take care Ray.
Hope to get to meet ya soon and do some riding w/ ya!

If it's the ASVAB then 99 is great because...

99 is as high a score as you can get (don't know why).

                Congrats!
