Just typical spring OK weather?? lol.

It would seem that ONE would have to have a motor in their bike so as to have an option of getting it caught outside in the weather instead of the grarage..

OK.. so not everyone has a garage to park them in. But yeah.. even golfball sized can be lethal.. so softball sized does some pretty unbelievable damage. Some towns around us were hit hard by tornadoes. The small town of Tecumseh had one go right down main street.

My brother lives in Florida and says, " No WAY could I live in Oklahoma with those tornadoes!" I said.. "HELLO!?!? Hurricanes!?" A terrible twister is a mile wide and lasts just a few minutes usually. How wide was the last hurricane.. and for how long?"

I wouldn't live in either of those places for those reasons. We haven't had anything similar to a hurricane in Oregon since 1960 and the last wind storm of note was in 1982.

        Hey, Jack...
So far the little town of Skiatook has been spared. It's a small suburb 25 miles North of Tulsa.
The town got it's name originally from the Osage Indians that had settled here.... tornado alley.... hence the name... SKY-A-TOOK...

OKC has had LOTS of damage & twisters the past couple of weeks.

South Tulsa got hit w/ a couple of tornadoes & microbursts this past week as well.

Luckily, just rain and some moderate winds so far.... (knockin' on nearest wood...)

I now live in an apartment... since my divorce, I no longer have my nice 3 car garage / workshop. But I did get the manager to allow me to park my XJ on my covered front porch. Put the cover on her, and I can keep my battery tender plugged into an outside outlet that's right there. It's a little tricky manouvering on & off the porch... made me a portable ramp... works out ok, and keeps it in the dry. (Also makes it a lot harder for someone to try to steal it, too!
