Are you still looking for a bad black box?
I had a couple spares so I sold one to a fellow lister.
Just to be certain, I took the one that I had intended to sell,
and put it on MY bike.
Though it came from a bike that was running before I parted it out, it acted as though I was only hitting on 2 cylendars.
Long story short, I sold the spare that i had had been saving for me, and now have a questionable one that can be played with.
Let me know if you still want to check it out.

Yeah, I'm still looking. Nothing urgent, just a project I'd like to delve into at some point. I'll be replacing the capacitors in mine over the winter. 25 year old electrolytic caps are "iffy" at best.

          black box

If you do find a black box to dissasemble you will need to desolder around a dozen or so pins that connect to the spade plugs in order to remove the board without breaking it......the pins are at the very end of the board and are lined up with the spade plugs....once they are desoldered and the screws removed (2) it will come out of the box.
