          old dirtbike terminology, forkbrace so you wouldnt tweak your forks.

            yeah, tweak bar for fork brace is a new one for me too.
            There used to be a whole bunch of motorcycle related slang terms.
            Some, like tank slapper and gravel rash are still in common use.
            Others, like
            Bacon rind (cheap brake linings)
            Tart tray/flapper bracket (pillion seat)
            Mice in the prodder (Burned out piston)
            Eaten by the Gribble-worm (Rust damaged)
            you never hear any more.
