        Welcome to the forum, DKing!

First things first: you need to post some pictures of your bike!

Now, have you ridden motorcycles before buying the XS1100? You should put the model of your 1980 XS1100 (XS1100G, XS1100LG or XS1100SG) in your forum profile signature so we'll know what type of bike you have when you have questions.

        Regards,

        Scott

                Hey DKing,
Just because you're from Canada... we won't hold that against ya.... LOL!
(Take it easy Canadian Boys.... just a little joke.... )

CatatonicBug has a thread on here that gives step by step instructions on pic posting... 'How to post pictures'... ya first need a Photobucket acct...(free). Once ya got that and have your pics loaded there, just follow his instructions to get 'em on here. Pretty simple, once you get the hang of it... and we LOVE pics here, so you'll get lots of practice!

He also has a downloadable manual for free you can get... his posts have a link you can click on.

We'll be looking forward to seeing your bike pics!
                Regards,
                Bob
