    Am I wrong? A CB 1000 pulling a 9 second 1/4 mile seems pretty quick. IIRC even Busas can't do that in stock trim...

    Maybe he meant 1/8th mile.. but yeah, as posted, I'm calling it right there with you.

      He claims it's been bored and stroked, but I don't think that's what will make it fast, just hard. The ad IS from the center of the country, and we ALL know about the tall tales that Tod is telling!!

        I looked it up and a 95 CB1000 has 98 horsies and weighs in at about 530 pounds. So it would be a bit quicker than our XS11s, but it would take a lot of work to hit a 9 second quarter. I am guessing it would take 250 or more HP, but that is just a guess.

          Yeah, but many places say our bikes make 100 hp.

          And Ray, they're only tall tales if someone can prove you wrong.

            I just realized THAT'S what the hardley riders were doing across the street on Sunday morning! They were chasing that poor rabbit around the block, over, and over, and over.... Rattling my windows at 9am, and I was trying to SLEEP!!
