  • What a GREAT riding day today!

    I went a couple of times just thinking of places to go and later took SWMBO around from place to place tonight just enjoying this weather and the bike.

    Though I need to work on cleaning the carbs I guess cuz I am starting to have power loss from idle to 2500 rpms where it takes off -


    But it was STILL fun as heck.

      xs11 is a great bike

      yep yesterday was a great day in texas for a bike ride! rode my xs 1100 for the very first time ever! WOO HOO!! ALL THANKS TO RICHARD (rpgoerlich)!! Went up to Katy to his house last weekend & he greatly helped me with my carb issues. Great guy, guy skills! Able to ride it now, get used to it, invited him to ride in the country! thanks Richard!

            Dude, it's worth a can of Sea Foam before you pull your carbies. That stuff works wonders, especially if one's already running. Put some in, let it sit in the carbs overnight or longer, you might be surprised.
            1980 XS 11 Special: The King of Kong, 9th wonder of the world. Pacifico fairing, chopped shield, Yamaha hard bags, Diamond seat, T-Kat fork brace, XJ top end, YICS Eliminator, '80 carbs from Spyder Cycle Works, K&N Air filter, Fuse block, stainless steel valves & reg/rect from Oregon MC Parts. Raptor CCT, XJ air shocks, 850 FD, Sportster mufflers, Standard handle bar, Tusk Bar Risers, SS braided brake lines. Cat Eye speedometer. HID projector beam headlight, LED running lights.
